 The Brave Soldier

The brave soldier marches on, with head held high and gun in hand, He fights for freedom, fights for right, with courage as his guiding light.

Through rain and snow, through heat and cold, He trudges on, his story untold. He fights for those who cannot fight, for peace to reign, for wrongs to right.

He leaves behind his family and friends, to defend our nation till the end. He fights for us, so we can sleep, with the knowledge that our nation is safe to keep.

So let us honor and remember, the brave soldier in September, and all the months and days in between, for their sacrifice, we will always be keen.

The brave soldier, we salute you, for all that you have been through, Your service and sacrifice, will always in our hearts suffice.
