Dirt in Spring

Dirt in Spring

Let the dirt begin the spring,
As winter fades and flowers sing,
For beneath the soil, life takes root,
From the earth, new shoots will shoot.

Though the dirt may seem unclean,
It holds the secrets of a dream,
A promise of new life and growth,
As nature's cycle takes its oath.

The rain will fall, the sun will shine,
In the dirt, a world divine,
A place where beauty will unfold,
As the earth transforms and stories are told.

So let the dirt begin the spring,
And watch as nature does its thing,
For in this cycle we can see,
The power of life's majesty.

Power and More

Power and more.

With each new task, these words we know,
Their meaning and use we must bestow,
From trace to predict, each one unique,
In poetry, their power we will seek.

We start with trace, to follow the trail,
Of words and thoughts that never fail,
To lead us where we need to go,
And help us see what we don't yet know.

Analyze comes next, to break it down,
And pick apart each thought and sound,
To see the pieces, big and small,
And understand the whole of it all.

Infer then comes, to read between,
The lines and words that we have seen,
To find the meaning that's not so clear,
And make it plain for all to hear.

Evaluate is next, to weigh and judge,
The words and thoughts that we must nudge,
To see if they hold up to scrutiny,
And if they do, to use them beautifully.

Formulate is then, to create anew,
From what we've learned and what we knew,
A poem that speaks with grace and style,
And makes our readers stop and smile.

Describe then comes, to paint a scene,
With words and phrases that are clean,
To help our readers see and feel,
The emotions that our words reveal.

Support comes next, to back it up,
With evidence that fills the cup,
Of knowledge and truth that we seek,
And helps us write with skill and technique.

Explain is then, to make it clear,
The meaning and purpose we hold dear,
To help our readers understand,
We make our words more in demand.

Summarize comes next, to tie it all,
Together in a neat and small,
Package of words that tell the tale,
Of what we've learned and what we've unveiled.

Compare then comes, to see the like,
In what we've written and what we strike,
To find the common ground we share,
Make our readers know we care.

Contrast is then, to see the light,
In what we've written and what we might,
Find different and unique as well,
To make our readers think and dwell.

And finally, predict is last,
To see the future and hold it fast,
To write a poem that's yet to be,
And make our readers want to see.

With these words at our command,
We'll write a poem that's simply grand,
And show the world what we can do,
With words that are both old and new.

Garage Sale Painting

Garage Sale Painting

Oh, garage sale painting, what stories you hold,
A unique masterpiece, with a story untold,
Perhaps hidden away in a dusty old attic,
Or found by chance in a thrift shop so frantic.

You were created with love, a work of art,
By a hand that poured out its soul and heart,
Brushstrokes of color, each one so bold,
A vision of beauty that never grows old.

You may not be a Picasso or a Van Gogh,
But you are special, with your own unique glow,
You don't need the queen to admire your worth,
Your beauty shines bright, a treasure on earth.

And though you'll be sold at a silent auction,
Your value can never be measured by caution,
For you are one of a kind, a painting so rare,
A masterpiece to cherish, to love and to share.

So let the Duke come and see your grandeur,
And marvel at your beauty, your colors so pure,
For you are a symbol of creativity and passion,
A timeless creation, a work of art in fashion.

Look Down

Look Down

Look down, way down,
To where the earth meets the sky,
Where the clouds roll and tumble,
Where the birds soar up high.

Look down, way down,
To the mountains and the seas,
To the forests and the deserts,
With the cities bustling with bees.

Look down, way down,
To the rivers and the streams,
To the fields and the meadows,
The flowers in their dreams.

Look down, way down,
To the creatures big and small,
To the ants and the elephants,
The whales so grand and tall.

Look down, way down,
You'll see a world so vast,
Full of wonder and beauty,
That will forever last.

So let us cherish this planet,
And all its treasures untold,
For it is our only home,
And it's worth more than gold.

Look Up

 Look Up

Look up, way up,
To the endless sky above,
Where the clouds drift by,
While the birds spread their love.

Look up, way up,
To the twinkling stars at night,
Glimmering and shining,
A wondrous, celestial sight.

Look up, way up,
To the moon's pale glow,
A beacon of hope,
In the darkness below.

Look up, way up,
To the sun's warm embrace,
A source of life and energy,
For all creatures to chase.

Look up, way up,
Marvel at the universe,
A vast and infinite expanse,
Full of mystery and diverse.

So look up, way up,
Let your spirit soar,
In the boundless beauty,
That the heavens have in store.

Oh Dr Pepper

Oh Dr Pepper, how I adore
Your flavor so unique and more
With 23 flavors in one sip
My taste buds dance, do a flip

You fizz and pop, a carbonated delight
The perfect drink to quench my thirst right
From Texas you came, a true classic
A soda so beloved, it's fantastic

Cherry, vanilla, caramel too
Your complexity is tried and true
With every sip, a new taste sensation
A symphony of flavors, a sweet celebration

Oh Dr Pepper, you are my favorite drink
A bubbly elixir, a liquid wink
You bring me joy with every sip
A drink so perfect, it's hard to skip

So here's to you, Dr Pepper my friend
A soda so beloved, it will never end
Forever and always, I will be a fan
A love affair with you, that will never ban.

Hamburgers and Beer

Hamburgers and Beer

Hamburgers and beer, the perfect pair
For a summer picnic in the sun.
No need for fine dining, no need to get fancy
Just a relaxing day for everyone.

The smell of the burgers, so juicy and hot
Makes the mouths of the people all water a lot.
The beer is cold and the conversation flows
It's a perfect day, no one really knows.

The burgers and beer, they taste so good
As the sun starts to set, a sight to behold.
No one is in a hurry, no one in a rush
It's just a perfect day, with burgers and beer, to enjoy.

Tree, Tree, why do you stand so tall

Tree, Tree, why do you stand so tall

Tree, Tree, why do you stand so tall
Your branches reach to the heavens, never to fall
Your leaves rustling in the wind, so sweetly they call
Never to tire, no matter the season, at all

Your roots so deep, your trunk so strong
You remain steadfast for far too long
Your bark so rough, your leaves so green
Your beauty is a sight far too keen

Your branches reach for the sun and sky
Your leaves give shade for birds and I
Your trunk stands so tall, so stately and proud
Your beauty is timeless, never to be clouded

Your leaves in the fall, so vibrant and bright
A sight to behold, an amazing sight
The wind carries away your leaves with a sigh
Until the spring when they return, no reason to deny

Tree, Tree, why do you stand so tall
Your branches reach to the heavens, never to fall
Your leaves rustling in the wind, so sweetly they call
Never to tire, no matter the season, at all

Losing My Intuition, NOT

Losing My Intuition, NOT

My intuition's like a compass guide,
It knows which way the wind will blow,
It helps me to decide what's right,
And stops me when I should say no.

My intuition gives me insight,
It helps me find the hidden clues,
It saves me from those awful fights,
And helps me choose the better news.

My intuition leads me to the truth,
That I can trust and never doubt,
It helps me make decisions wise,
And know what life's really about.

It guides me through the darkest night,
And shows me how to find a way,
It helps me choose the path that's right,
And keep my faith along the way.

My intuition's like a crystal ball,
It knows what I should do and when,
It helps me find the strength within,
Guides me to the place I've been.

My intuition's like a faithful friend,
It cares for me and understands,
It helps me find the courage to face,
The things that I just don't understand.

My intuition's like a precious gift,
It helps me see the world anew,
It shows me how to make the right choice

Success

Success

Let every man with courage strive
To forge his own path in life.
Take risks and don't be afraid
To make a change and be brave.

For success is not found in ease,
But from hard work and from peace.

Set goals and be determined,
Be persistent and never relent.
Be true to yourself and be bold
These are the ways to fame and gold.

Be humble, generous and kind
These are the keys to peace of mind.
Be grateful and stay focused too
On the things that matter to you.

Don't be scared of failure,
For it will teach you what's right.
It will show you the path of success
So that you can reach new heights.

Through courage, determination and drive
Your goals will come alive.
For if you put in the effort,
You'll find that you can achieve.

Love On The Moon

Love On The Moon

Moonlight spilling across the night sky
Sparkling stars, so far and high
A love so deep and pure, it's hard to deny
It's as if we are standing on the moon tonight

Your sweet embrace, my heart's delight
Our love so strong, like a shining light
The two of us so close, we can touch the stars
It's a magical love, like a beautiful dream that's ours

The beauty of us here on the moon
Our passionate kisses, so sweet and soon
The night is so still, so tranquil and clear
We are in love, with no fear

The stars twinkle, as if they know
That we are blessed with a love that will grow
Our love is strong, it's so serene
Our love, our life, our dream on the moon.

Love

Love

Love is a sweet and gentle song
That plays inside our hearts so strong
It keeps us close and warm at night
It's beauty is a wondrous sight

It binds us close and gives us hope
When all around us seems to mope
It's like a light that guides us through
In all the darkness we must do

It breathes life into everything
It makes us soar on silver wings
It shows us joy and peace and bliss
Which  brings us moments filled with bliss

It lifts us up when we are down
It dries our tears when we frown
It never leaves us, no not ever
Our love is the strongest tether

It is the fire that warms our soul
It is the life that makes us whole
It's with us through the darkest night
Our love is the brightest light

Keep The Forests Alive

Keep The Forests Alive

Amidst the rustling leaves and gentle breeze,
The forest stands in tranquil peace.
Its ancient trees, majestic and tall,
A symphony of life, both great and small.

The woodlands hum with songs of birds,
The gentle gurgle of nearby brooks.
The wildlife thrives in this verdant land,
A paradise for beasts both great and grand.

Yet, greed and folly threaten this serene realm,
With each passing day, the danger grows at the helm.
The forests dwindle, the trees fall,
With it, the creatures big and small.

Oh, how we must strive to save this sacred place,
For its destruction is a loss we cannot erase.
Let us plant anew, and nurture with care,
To ensure the forest's survival, for all to share.

For the forest is not just wood and leaves,
But an intricate web of life that weaves
Together in perfect harmony,
A treasure that we must strive to see.

So, let us vow to protect and preserve,
This natural wonder that we all deserve.
For the forests of the earth, both far and wide,
Are a priceless legacy we must never cast aside.

Journey With No End

Journey With No End

Come along, my dear friend,
On a journey that knows no end,
We'll travel the world, far and wide,
With nothing to stop us or confide.

We'll take the back roads, the less trodden,
To see the world with our eyes wide open,
From mountains high to oceans blue,
We'll experience things so brand new.

Through the desert sands, we'll ride,
And cross the great oceans, so vast and wide,
We'll see the sunsets in distant lands,
To dance with the locals, hand in hand.

We'll taste the spices, so rich and rare,
And breathe the scents of the sweetest air,
We'll hear the sounds of the drumming beats,
To feel the rhythm, so raw and sweet.

We'll climb the highest mountains, so tall,
Watch the eagles as they soar and call,
We'll feel the wind as it rushes past,
Know that this journey is sure to last.

We'll meet new people, from every land,
And learn of their cultures, so diverse and grand,
We'll share our stories, and listen in turn,
To find that we all have much to learn.

We'll be surprised, and delighted too,
By the wonders we see, so pure and true,
When the journey comes to an end,
We'll know that our hearts will never bend.

For we've seen the world, through new eyes,
And been touched by the love that lies,
In every corner, and every face,
In every moment, and every place.

So come along, my dear friend,
On a journey that knows no end,
Let's travel the world, far and wide,
With nothing to stop us or confide.

Spain Beckons

Spain Beckons

Spain beckons with its allure
From the mountains to the azure
Beaches stretch for miles on end
Sun-kissed days, time to spend

Tapas bars, a feast for all
Sipping wine until nightfall
Sangria flows, the music plays
The rhythm of life, a Spanish craze

Bullfighting, a tradition old
Matadors brave, their stories told
Crowds roar as the bull charges
The dance of life and death, it enlarges

Madrid, a city alive
Art, culture, and history thrive
The Prado Museum, a treasure trove
Picasso, Goya, a feast for the behove

Barcelona, a city of design
Gaudi's works, a sight divine
Park Guell, Sagrada Familia
Marvels of art, no words could fulfill ya

Spain beckons, bacon sizzles
Chorizo, paella, seafood grizzles
The rain drizzles, a cool embrace
A land of passion, a magical place.

In Search Of Glory

 In Search Of Glory

In search of glory,
I rowed in my dory.
On the horizon,
I spotted a rainbow, so vibrant and brazen.

I chased it down,
Hoping for a pot of gold to be found.
The waves grew rough,
As I chased the rainbow's fluff.

But I pressed on,
The thought of riches spurred me on.
The rainbow led me,
To a place I never thought I'd see.

A land of wonder,
Where gold flowed like thunder.
My search was over,
My dream had come closer.

Now I sit,
In a world where anything is lit.
All because I dared,
To chase the rainbow that flared

Stay inside
Let it subside
Storm is passing
Peace amassing.

Bad Poetry For The Ages, continued

Bad Poetry For The Ages, continued

In the land of rhyme and meter,
Where words doth flow like a river,
A poet sits and pens his thoughts,
In hopes that they may be sought.

His lines are clumsy, his rhymes are bad,
His metaphors are overused and sad,
But still he writes with all his might,
For his words are his guiding light.

He writes of love and of despair,
Of joy and of hope that's rare,
Of all the things that make us feel,
The wounds that never heal.

His words may not be the finest,
But they come from a heart that's honest,
Though his poetry may not impress,
It speaks to those who feel distress.

For in the end, it's not the form,
But the feelings that the words perform,
If they touch someone's soul,
Then his poem has met its goal.

Poem for the Ages,AKA Bad Poetry For The Ages

Poem for the Ages,AKA Bad Poetry For The Ages

A poem for the ages,
A masterpiece of the past,
Words that will echo through time,
Forever, they will last.

But alas, my skills are lacking,
And my rhymes are far from fine,
This poem will never make history,
It won't stand the test of time.

I fumble with words and phrases,
I struggle to find the right rhyme,
My poetry is awkward and clumsy,
It's a mess, a true crime.

So here's my bad poetry,
For the ages, it shall be,
A reminder that not all writers,
Can create a true masterpiece.

But even bad poetry has value,
It brings joy and laughter to all,
So let's embrace our imperfections,
Let our bad poetry stand tall.

For though it may not be great,
It's still a creation of our mind,
That in itself is a beauty,
That we should cherish and find.

So let this poem be a reminder,
That even bad poetry has its place,
Within every clumsy rhyme,
There's a bit of beauty and grace.
